Accessibility statement

A campaign that asks for every resident's vote has to be usable by every resident. This page states the standard, what is built, and how to report a problem.

Target standard

This site is built to meet WCAG 2.2 AA. That is the working standard for design and development decisions, including contrast, target size, focus visibility, and motion.

What is already in place

  • A visible skip-to-content link on every page, so keyboard users can bypass navigation.
  • Semantic headings and landmarks, with one main region per page.
  • Visible focus outlines on every interactive element, including form fields and navigation.
  • Color pairings chosen for contrast: body text targets at least 12:1, and the campaign's light green is never used for small text on white.
  • Support for prefers-reduced-motion: animations are removed, not merely shortened.
  • Text that respects browser zoom and reflows without horizontal scrolling on narrow screens.
  • Form fields with real labels, inline error messages announced to screen readers, and no time limits.
  • Alternative text on content images; decorative images are marked so they are skipped.

Photography and representation

Photographs are labeled with what they show, and alt text describes the scene rather than implying an event that did not take place.

Known limitations

Campaign-provided images and any third-party registration or payment pages linked from this site are outside this site's direct control. If a linked page presents a barrier, tell the campaign and staff will provide the information or service in another format.

Tell us about a barrier

If any part of this site is difficult to use, contact the campaign office with the page and what happened. Accessibility reports are treated as priority work, and staff will offer an alternative way to get the same information.

Report a barrier

Include the page, the device or assistive technology you were using, and what you expected to happen. The campaign will respond with a fix or an alternative.
