Privacy policy

Plain language, because a campaign asking for your trust should explain exactly what it does with your information.

What this site collects

This website collects information only when you choose to send it. The campaign's forms (contact, volunteer, resident story, and campaign updates) ask for a name, an email address, and optionally a phone number, neighborhood, and the details you write in the message field.

The site does not set advertising cookies, does not use session recording, and does not build a profile of you as you browse.

Why it is collected

Contact and story submissions: to respond to your question and, if you asked, to consider publishing your story with your consent.

Volunteer sign-ups: to contact you about volunteer opportunities you selected.

Update sign-ups: to send campaign updates you requested.

Nothing you submit is used for any other purpose, and the campaign does not sell or rent contact information.

How it is stored

Submissions are stored in a private campaign database. Read access is restricted to authorized campaign staff who need it to respond to you. The public website cannot read the campaign inbox.

Files uploaded by campaign staff for public download, such as printed materials, are stored on public hosting so residents can open them without signing in. Those files never include resident submissions.

How long it is kept

Contact and volunteer submissions are kept for the duration of the campaign and then deleted, unless you ask for them to be removed sooner. Update subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct, or delete anything you have submitted, and you can withdraw consent for a published story at any time. Email the campaign office from the contact page and staff will act on the request.

You can unsubscribe from campaign updates by replying to any campaign email or by asking the campaign office to remove you.

Public content and consent

Resident stories are published only with the resident's permission. Where a story is published, only the name and neighborhood details the resident approved are shown. No testimonial on this site is written by the campaign on a resident's behalf.

Analytics

If privacy-conscious analytics are enabled in the future, this policy and the site's cookie notice will be updated before any tracking begins. The campaign's position is that measurement should never require identifying individual visitors.

Campaign finance and disclosure

This site does not process contributions. If contribution functionality is added, it will use a campaign-approved payment provider and comply with applicable election law, disclosure, and recordkeeping requirements. Any donation link will be published only after that approval.
